websites all over the web only a handful are legit. Job boards, online
classifieds, forums, and websites all over the internet are littered with get
rich quick schemes and survey sites that sell your information and pay you
pennies for your time. But with the right resources it doesn’t have to be that
difficult. At Home Opps strives to present to you legitimate opportunities to
work from home but it still pays to be safe when exploring these
opportunities. Just keep these simple tips in mind to protect yourself
against scams:
- Research the company. Google "company name+scam", check out
Ripoff Report, and check forums and message boards. Real scams
will have a good deal of complaints against them.
- Don't give out too much personal information. Keep your social
security number and driver's license number to yourself until you are
absolutly sure you have the job.
- Don't pay for the job. If the company asks for your credit card
number it is a scam *except* in a few cases. Some companies will
require you to pay for a background/credit check or buy equipment.
Only do this if you have researched the company and are 100% sure
they are legit.
